Today we woke up early and headed out of Hamner Springs and towards Christchurch. On the way we stopped off to play a round of mini-golf. There we were talked into doing a “fun” Aztec maze by an old guy who owned the mini-golf course. Before we entered the maze, I decided to run back to the car and grab a cardigan.
That’s when disaster struck! I opened the boot, threw the keys carelessly onto the back shelf whilst I rooted around in the rucksack for my black cardi. In hast I slammed the boot shut and ran back towards to the maze entrance. Only then did I realise that I had locked the keys in the car! Oh no, I thougt matt would kill me!! I plucked up the courage to tell matt and was surprised by his calm, casual reaction; he just laughed. He quickly phoned the AA and a man was sent out to retrieve our car key. Finally! I took matt to a local restaurant for a nice breakfast to make up for my stupidity!
Anyway, apart from the whole car key situation, we had a pretty good morning. The maze, although made me jump out of my skin!! Half of it was in the dark, the walls moved, whenever we saw a waterfall we knew we had to dodge it and by the end there was a big scary emperor that “MUHAHAHAAAA-ed” loudly!
Anyway after a quick round of mini-golf we then headed to Christchurch. There we looked around the city centre, the university. (which we decided we will not be applying too) After that we grabbed a pizza and found a cheap motel to stay in for the night...
