Monday was an action packed day. We woke up at Robyn and Tom's house early and headed out to the Geothermal park in Rotorua. There we saw a Geyser erupt and it spewed out boiling water from beneath the ground. The water rose to around 20 meters high and we were pretty close to it. After its erruption we went on a bit of a hike all around the geothermal areas. It was a long day and we saw loads of bubbling mud, craters, champagne pools, and smelt a lot of sulphur! It was a hot day too and a really good walk.
After that we grabbed some lunch and headed to the Skyline Luge in Rotovegas. We took a gondola to the peak of the hill and from there we Luged all the way to the bottom, then back up again by chair lift. The luge was so fast and really easy to steer. Scary over the bumps though especially as we raced over the hills. I also dropped my jandle on the chair lift which was pretty funny so i had to go all the way up the hill, luge down and grab it! It was a really good day. After that we were pretty tired so we grabbed some dinner and headed back to Auntie Robyn's.
Tuesday was spent pretty much all day in the car driving about 5 hours back up north to Matt's house. When we arrived back home we were pretty tired so we just grabbed dinner and watched tv. Before bed we decided to play poker with troy and Andy (the poker champ!) Matt explained the rules to me and we got started. The game lasted about 2 and a half hours and....i won!! haha!! pretty good aye??!!
This morning we played again and i won again. (should have played for money!!) Today was a quiet day, catching up on sleep before new years eve.
Me, matt and bex went milking this afternoon. It was really fun. We put our overalls on and our wellies and headed to the farm. The cows were all lined up and we milked them all quite quickly. Popping the cups on and off then letting more cows in until we had finished. We had to remember to aviod the cow pat though! and watch out for certain cows that would lift their tales and piss on you!
In the evening i went with Bex and Jeannie to the beach for a walk whilst matt stayed home with is dad. On the beach we found loads of blue jelly fish and i almost stood on one of their stingers which was a little scary!!
Anyway must go, should really get some sleep; tomorrow is going to be a long night out to celebrate new years eve!
